Light Housekeeping

Our Caregivers can assist with light housekeeping duties like,

  • Help with washing and ironing
  • Make beds and change bed linen
  • Take out the rubbish
  • Meal preparation and tidy away
  • Prepare shopping lists & collect shopping
  • Arrange wardrobes and cupboards
  • Pet care, etc.

Personal Care Visits

This is where we assist the client with daily living activities that enable them remain in their home, as an alternative to nursing facility care. Services offered, include; assisting them with activities of daily living like bathing, personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, dressing, etc.

Attendant Care

This includes hands on assistance aimed at facilitating the needs of enrolled participant who have a physical disability and may need help with activities of daily living. Our Attendant Care services also comprise the performance of delegated nursing functions such as:

  • Bathing;
  • Toileting (Bladder and bowel requirements, bed pan routines, movement to and from the bathroom);
  • Patient Mobility – transferring from a bed, chair or other structure and moving about indoors and outdoors;
  • Comfort Positioning – turning and positioning the body while in bed or in a wheelchair;
  • Dressing and changing clothes
  • Administering medications or prescriptions that are ordinarily self – administered, when ordered for the participant by a physician. (To administer medication attendants must however, be certified as a nursing assistant or as a medicine aide).

Pest Control

We acknowledge the importance of maintaining a safe and healthy home environment; hence we work in conjunction with Pest control firms to help to eliminate bugs, rodents, and other pests in the Client’s home.

Transportation

We provide limited transportation service to the elderly and the disabled who are unable to drive or have no other transportation arrangements. Most transportation is utilized for medical appointments, essential errands, and trips to community services.

Meal Preparation and Nutritional Support

We strongly believe that proper dietary habit is important maintain healthy living or regain strength. So we make sure our clients are eating balanced meals and that their food is cooked and prepared properly.

Special diets can be provided when ordered by the Client’s physician.

Minor Home Modifications

Sometimes, we provide installation of certain home mobility aides (i.e. ramps, rails, grab bars) and minor home modifications to enhance safety. Adaptations which add to the total square footage of the home are excluded and all modifications are in accordance with State or local building codes.

Laundry and Household Service

We believe maintaining a clean and organized environment is essential to healthy living. Our Caregivers will help with household services to maintain a safe and clean environment, as well as take care of the laundry and folding clothes and bed-making.

Personal Emergency Response System (PERS)

Our Caregivers are trained to assist Clients with their PERS device – ensure they are properly functional and/or worn regularly. PERS are electronic devices which enables individuals to secure help in an emergency. The individual may also wear a portable “help” button to allow for mobility. The system is connected to the person’s phone and programmed to signal a response center once a “help” button is activated.

Exercise and Physical Therapy

Our Caregivers will assist with stretching, exercise, and other prescribed physical therapy program to help
client after a surgery or to keep Clients flexible and healthy.

Accompany to Doctor Appointments, Church & Family Event

Our Caregivers assist with client movement around the house – from chair to bed, etc., We also understand that our Clients will sometimes need to leave their home from time to time; our Caregivers may accompany or transport Clients when they need to attend a medical appointment, a ride to and from a place of worship or attend family functions, etc.
