With deepest sincerity, we address a matter that has recently come to light involving the improper conduct of one of our caregivers. First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt apology to those affected. Please know that this incident does not reflect the values or standards that have guided our organization for over 14 years. The actions of this individual were isolated and wholly inconsistent with our commitment to compassion, dignity, and respect.
We are profoundly grateful to the vigilant family who refused to leave their loved ones to fend for themselves. Their watchful eye and swift action speak volumes about the power of partnership in safeguarding those we serve. It is because of such dedication that we are able to uphold the highest standards of care.
To our esteemed retired veterans, your service and sacrifice are the foundation upon which our freedoms rest. You’ve kept us safe—now we vow to keep you safe, with all the honor and attentiveness you so deeply deserve.
We also wish to recognize our devoted caregivers. For many of our clients, they are not just aides—they are lifelines. They prepare meals, assist with personal hygiene, provide medication reminders, accompany clients to doctor’s visits, and brighten long days with shared stories, checkers games, or a gentle push of a wheelchair through the halls of the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers Jr. hospital. Their unwavering generosity—even using their own resources to purchase food and supplies—is a testament to their hearts for service.
Lastly, we commend the swift and decisive action of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. Within hours of being alerted, they began recovering stolen property and issued a warrant for arrest the same day. We extend our gratitude to the sergeant, detectives, and officers involved, whose commitment to protecting lives and preserving peace reflects the very mission of the SCSO. Their integrity and diligence restore confidence and remind us that justice and accountability remain pillars of our community.
